Biography

The Consumer Maven (that's me) has both an MBA and a MSIMC (Masters in Marketing Communications). I've been an avid observer of consumer behavior and love understanding why people buy products. I am fascinated at how companies develop customer relationships and how their own company culture serves to promote or discourage this. I also find what I call the love/joy/live factor important: how do companies really treat not just the people who buy their services or products but all the key stakeholders in the picture, and how 'in touch' with them are they?

I call the love/joy/live factor that because I believe that companies with a soul, who truly love their customers will find that their customers love their products or services. These customers find joy in these products or services, and as a result, our lives are uplifted by their use or by dealing with such companies. It is not easy to become a love/joy/live company and it is even harder to stay maintain that special place.
